DefaultBooking Internal Flights Within South America

Hi all,
I was interested to find out how easy it was to book internal flights from country to country within South America once I have arrived in one of the many countries.

I plan to cover alot of the continent starting in the South and working my way north to Ecuador and Colombia but flying is going to have to be a part of my transportation otherwise some killer road journeys are ahead!!

I've read that an air pass can be purchased through LAN.com which allows you to fly into multiple latin america cities under one ticket, does anyone have any experience of using this service?

If so could you tell me how it works and rough figures of price for a ticket.

many thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

Booking domestic flights in South America is absolutely no problem. All major cities have travel agents who offer national and international flights.

For information about air passes I've found excellent information here.

Best wishes,

Mark

That's a great link Mark it gives some helpful tips about each airpass available.
It looks as though I will need a One World Visit South America Air Pass as I will be flying with Iberia who are part of the One World Alliance.

Would it be a case of me going into the travel agents and presenting my e-ticket so they know I qualify for a One World Visit South America Air Pass?

The reason I ask is there is also the LAN pass I mentioned before but it seems more expensive than the One World Visit South America Air Pass.

Hi Andy,

Just check out some travel agents with your e-ticket. You never know, maybe one of them issues a One World Visit South America Air Pass. That'd be great!

Best wishes,

Mark
