Hey, just curious to those who have done this before, what kind of a budget should i be looking at for a 4-5 month trip backpacking various countries? Also curious to know if it is possible to get odd-jobs down there in order to help me stay longer if i feel the desire?

You should set a daily budget of $12 to $15. This will cover all basic necessities (transport, accommodation, food). If you're planning to go to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas, you'll have to add the cost to your budget. Plan what you want to do and budget accordingly.
Teaching English in one of the many schools or volunteering are about the only options you have to cover some of the expenses. Best wishes, Mark

That's correct Kay. Food and lodging is included in a daily budget of $12 to $15.
Best wishes, Mark
