Brazil has been named as the host nation for the 2014 soccer (football) World Cup. For the soccer lovers this will be by far the most thrilling event ever. Soccer is more than a sport in Brazil, it's a passion that lifts up the spirit every day.
Brazil have won the tournament a record five times and hosted the World Cup once before, in 1950, when they lost 2-1 in the final to Uruguay. It is the first time the World Cup is being held in South America since Argentina hosted, and won, the 1978 tournament. I'm really looking forward to this World Cup and would love to see a Brazil-Argentina final, both countries featuring the best soccer players in the world. Samba and Tango. Robinho and Lionel Messi. It's just too much for words. Best wishes, Mark
