Hi Mark,
Just wondering what you thought of the rainforest in Peru and Bolivia. If i only have time for one which one should i do? can you recommend any companies that do short adventure styled trips there? Could you also recommend the best way to get cheap internal flights in SA. Thanks mate, your website is fantastic! Robert |

Hi Robert,
My favorite is Rurrenabaque in Bolivia. The tours are wonderful. Lots of wildlife to enjoy. Piranhas, crocodiles, capybaras, anacondas, pink river dolphins. You'll find lots of travel agencies in Rurrenabaque. Once booked it's a 4 hour drive to Santa Rosa, depending on road conditions. From there the fun begins on a motorized canoe. It's 3 days of pure fun. Some pics of mine from the jungle tour: ![]() ![]() ![]() You can find lots of information about South America flights here. Enjoy your trip! Keep us posted! Best wishes, Mark

Thanks for that Mark, I was also wondering what would be the best way to get to the salt flats in Uyuni coming from Santiago, Should i fly in? or try to see a few things along the way. How much time should i allow if i'm going to travel overland? Thanks again

You have to cross the Atacama desert to get to the Salar de Uyuni. If you like hot and dry places you should go for it overland. It's a very long way from Santiago to San Pedro de Atacama. Time depends on how many stops you take but you should make it in 3-4 days.

I'd really like to take a trip to a rainforest this summer - predominately to see wildlife. I have the time and the money to go for up to 2 months but don't really know where to start (I'm not even sure which area would be the best to visit.)
I'm quite interested in doing some conservational volunteer work whilst I'm there. Has anybody done something similar or know of any reputable companies that organise this sort of thing? |
