Hi Mark.
Ive not spoken to you for some time but I have been busy planning and more planning. Can you tell me what you think of my route and feesability of it.... I plan to fly to santiago from UK. Buy a bike there and ride to ushuaia via torres del paine. Then Rio > La Paz > Manaus > Caracas > Bogota > Quito > Santiago. Obviously exact routes will change but roughly this is where i want to go and see. I intend to see the sights inbetween cities and use hostels but mainly camp. I have budgeted for approx 10k and I plan approx 1 year away. What do you think? Do-able? Thanks David |

Hi David,
I love your adventurous spirit! I'm asuming you're talking about a motorcycle here and not a bicycle. I'm not quite sure if you want to do everything on a bike or not. What's the plan once you arrive in Ushuaia? It's 5600km/3480 miles from Ushuaia to Rio de Janeiro. A better itinerary in my view would be: Rio > Manaus > Caracas > Bogota > Quito > La Paz > Santiago. Your budget and time of stay look fine to me.
